Great Times In Grover!

I came here this fall with my family and we had a wonderful trip! This home was our HQ for a few days to explore all around the immediate area and the Santa Ynez Valley. We were able to get out and do things from exploring Pismo Beach & try the Cinnamon Rolls at Old West Cinnamon Rolls to seeing Solvang and feeding Ostrich’s (amongst many other things). The house was wonderful and suited our needs perfectly. I’d like to highlight some of the things we found exceptional about this house: 1) Well Stocked! I’ve stayed in a number of vacation rentals and I hate it when there’s like one towel or roll of toilet paper. This was certainly not the case with the house; it had all of the basics and necessary things to have an enjoyable time. We like to cook, so having things like good quality knives and kitchen utensils in addition to some other basic staples that are useful in kitchen was a huge thing as I hate having to buy little bits of something I might not have and either leave or throw stuff away. Not our experience at this place, they had things like oil, etc and those little things make a big impression on us. Other supplies such as pods to wash the dishes and or do laundry were also stocked in the home. So, having all of the essentials allowed us to not have to run out and get anything and instead focus on what we came there to do: have fun and relax! 2) Spacious! The rooms and home seemed to have lots of space. This house has two levels and so there’s some good separation (with kids ranging in ages that was nice when the baby was sleeping and others playing, there wasn’t a problem at all). 3) Location! It’s not directly beachfront or anything, but all and all we really liked the location. It was a pretty quiet and quaint residential neighborhood that seemed quite safe and it offered plenty of street parking. It was easy to walk to the beach on days and also to walk a few blocks down for dinner. It was an a good drive to the places we wanted to see as well on days we didn’t hang in the immediate area (such as Hearst Castle and Solvang). Some other things I found good about the house: They had a bin for composting in the kitchen and three bins in total so that recycling and composting can be incorporated and a part of your vacation (I hate places I’ve traveled where I can’t do this minimum as part of trying to be a good earth citizen). The BBQ was nice!!! It really made the vacation seem great to fire up a BBQ and do some grilling. The BBQ wasn’t super dirty or anything and was more than large enough to grill up all kinds of things.
