“This will be our vacation spot for years to come. Distance to the beach was amazing, awesome space for the money. Needed some maintenance during our stay but that didn’t hinder our experience as they were fast and courteous with service! Loved that I had a garage to park my car, BBQ was ready and didn’t have to put shoes on to go to the beach! Definitely recommend Beach Bum for yourself or the whole family. For the price and location it’s a must… there’s nothing better!”

“We always using Beach Bum Holiday Rentals and Management in Pismo Beach, CA. When we visit Pismo Beach to visit my Mom, we fill so supported by the staff and we love the accommodations. We have been a loyal client for about 10 years.”
-Mark P.

“Looked last minute for a vacation home in Pismo using the typical websites (e.g. VRBO, Airbnb) but they were either super expensive or not very nice. Found the “Beach bum” website after messaging them on one of their listings on VRBO. Taylor got back to me quickly and we found an awesome brand new 3 level home with 2 balconies (one rooftop with an ocean view) across the street from the beach. We will use Beach Bum again when we come back to Pismo next year! With better planning, we’ll get an even nicer house closer to the beach but I can’t complain with our selection this year.”
-Michael B.

“Excellent location I really enjoyed the work stay in Pismo Beach with Beach Bum Rentals. The only thing missing was a swimming pool.”
-Antonio V.

“Highly recommended for finding a clean convenient place in Pismo beach. We rented a townhouse that had 3 bedrooms, three bathrooms and were a party of 4 adults, three kids (ages 4 and 3) 1.5 blocks from the beach, down the street from Penny’s cafe. Location was amazing. Customer service was fabulous; they checked in the next day and made the check in/out process super easy. We’ll be back yearly.”
-Jessica M.

“Our family has rented a house in the Pismo Beach area 4 years in a row with Beach Bum rentals. The kids love the area, we escape the heat for a week. The houses have been in different locations but one thing is constant. Great customer service, houses are stocked well with anything you may need like body boards, towels, toys, games,(except food of course) and are clean. Last one had roof top patio with hot tube, barbq, fire pit, and dining area. Even an ocean view! We already reserved next trip. It’s good to reserve way in advance and you can make payments each month.”
-Tony T.

“We spent the weekend at 921 Front Street in Grover Beach and LOVED it! My only complaint is that they didn’t ask my sister in law if she was 25 when making the reservation and it’s a requirement. They canceled our reservation before we could ask to switch it into my name and credit card. Luckily we were still able to reserve it. They really should sell the view in the backyard of the Pismo Lake Ecological Reserve because it’s very pretty and peaceful. It comfortably fit 4 couples and we definitely would come back to this property. It was decorated and furnished nicely too for our enjoyment. Also, when we asked if we needed to return the keys promptly at eleven o’clock since there wasn’t anyone renting it the same day as we were leaving they very kindly let us checkout at one o’clock instead. I really appreciated that gesture.”
-Erika H.

“We’ve dealt with Beach Bum Holiday Rentals three or four times now when we wanted to stay in Avila Beach. We’ve found them to be helpful, efficient, precise in their explanations, and courteous. I believe they represent the owners’ properties very well in how they execute rentals and in how they provide cleaning preparation beforehand. Good job, Beach Bum Rentals!!!”
-James C.

“My husband and I celebrated our 2 year wedding anniversary and decided to take a chance with Beach bum rentals, glad we did. Our rental was very nice, we will definitely rent from them again.”
-Denise C.

“We stayed at the property on Wadsworth. It was a 3 bedroom and we shared it with another couple. We had an awesome time and it has a really cool rooftop deck with amazing ocean views. Couldn’t have asked for a better weekend. We will be back again to rent again from Beach Bum rentals!”
-Eric S.

“Rather than getting a hotel couple for a few days in Pismo, I decided to use Beach Bum Rentals and they had a great 2 bdrm condo on San Luis, just a block from the beach. Great location, nice amenities. We were pulling in late due and they made sure we had access to the keys and remotes. The only tip I would offer would be to have some written instructions regarding how to use the remotes, especially for those of us over 50…”
-Jeff M.

“We rented a little house in Pismo for Labor Day weekend and were really happy with it. Yes, there was foot traffic going to and from the beach, but the house was quiet and a perfect location. The furnishings were beachy funky, which was fine by us. Bathroom and kitchen were clean, and we were surprised to find a washer/dryer and 2 TV’s. Really reasonable and enjoyable. The staff were responsive and helpful. We would do it again for sure.”
-Barbara W.

“Beach bum was great! I was surprised to see negative reviews. True, we never had any maintenance issues to see how they dealt with those, but when we locked the keys in our house someone was to us within a half hour! We stayed at 173 Addie in Pismo beach. Cute little duplex, (dog friendly too!) and we got the downstairs, which was larger and more convenient, and had its own little patio. The couple upstairs, Nikki and Sean, were so sweet and although they were more than willing to give us our space and whatnot, we found them to be so cool that we ended up hanging out and bbqing with them! Walk to the beach was super minimal, no stairs, and very convenient! Great view from the patio if you don’t want to trek the half a block to the beach itself, although sunset was behind the house and obstructed view, so it was worth it to make the “journey”. Walking distance from many little shops, restaurants, convenience stores, liquor stores, and rental places (bikes, beach equipment, etc.) and a very quick drive to Walmart, Trader Joe’s, Kmart, Vons’s, and other things you may need last minute!

In a nutshell: good company to work with, great little house, and made for a fun, comfortable, and relaxing honeymoon!”

“My husband and I have rented with Beach Bum Holiday Rentals for about 10 years. They respond quickly and responsibly to any inquiries and/or problems have encountered over the years. We have recommended them to others.”

“We were so happy with this Condo! As promised one block from the beach, at one end of the downtown. We parked and didn’t need to move the car again. The master bath was hard to get in and out of but walk in shower in the other bathroom. Vertical blinds missing a few spears but I have never been so pampered! Soap for the washer, and dishwasher. The book was informational, a must read! Thanks so much, it was a great vacation.”
-Teresa C.

“We were impressed that this place is much bigger than the pictures make it appear, and we found it to be very comfortable for four adults. It’s ideally located in that it is a short walk to the beach and to downtown. We all agreed that we’d love to book this again next time we meet up in Pismo!”
-Laura M.

“The home is nice and clean to comfortably fit two families, it located in a nice neighborhood, a short walk to the butterfly grove cross the street. The map may show you need walk a long way to get there in about 20 minutes, but you can actually cross the railway to get short cut in 5 minutes. We will definitely come back again.”

“We came to Pismo for a family wedding. This house worked out perfectly for a multi-generational family. (7 adults and 3 small children). The living area was spacious as well as the eating area. What made it really great was the outdoor space. Lots of room for eating, lounging and we enjoyed the fire pit at night while the little ones were asleep inside. It looks out on a lagoon with ducks and trees that made it very tranquil. It was fully equipped and we didn’t feel like anything was missing. Plenty of towels, blankets, and pillows. The location is right across from the Butterfly Park, which had just started their season. This is at the beach so we had the boardwalk, and the dunes right there as well. We had one problem (an outdoor water leak) that was resolved immediately and we were up and running with water within the hour. The responsiveness was appreciated. It was much quicker than we expected. Great VRBO.”

“The property is beautiful, fully and comfortably furnished, and so close to several beach spots, downtown Pismo, nature attractions, and even church! Our extended family all enjoyed relaxing, cooking and eating together, and games and movies around the fire. We hope to return again sometime this year.”

“We had a lovely vacation and stay at this house. The place was very comfortable with peaceful environment. The birds at the lake were an added advantage. I would have loved it if it was not for the one paper towel roll they gave us for 3 days. We had to run to a near by 7-eleven at night to get an extra one. Other than that, everything else was great.”
-Naghman M., Stayed at 921 Front

“House was beautiful and had all the amenities! Perfect location, close to everything. Highly recommend!!”
-Rhea Lynn M., Stayed at 921 Front

“We enjoyed a great long weekend at this house. We were two families, 4 adults, 2 kids, and a toddler. It was a good meeting spot between our respective homes in San Diego and the SF Bay Area. The house had everything we needed for a relaxing weekend. It was very clean and nicely furnished. We enjoyed walking to the beach each day. We simply crossed the railroad tracks and the highway- much easier than it sounds. The beach was great for walking/jogging and playing in the surf. It was also nice to be able to walk into town for a morning coffee. The backyard was very peaceful- we enjoyed reading out there, and also enjoyed the fire pit one evening.”
-Yvonne M., Stayed at 921 Front

“Very comfortable for 8 people. We celebrated my Aunt’s 80th birthday and it was wonderful to have the beautiful backyard to use for company.”
-Connie, Stayed at 921 Front

“My husband and I were delighted with this lovely house- big open kitchen area with updated fixtures throughout- nice granite counters in kitchen. Most of all we loved the back yard! The dahlias were huge and the roses were blooming all over. In the way back there is an Estuary where we were entertained by the water birds – it is a wonderful private place and was great for our extended family get together. I would definitely go back again and would recommend this home to rent.”

Our family from Los Angeles and Monterey recently met here for a fun family vacation. The house was very clean and well maintained/equipped and it comfortably accommodated our group of 10. The listing and photos were very accurate. The outdoor areas were beautiful, whether it was for a morning al fresco breakfast or s’mores around the fire pit. The location was great — we were close to the dunes and beach, where the kids enjoyed flying kites — and a short drive from the pier and popular restaurants and cafes. We also enjoyed outlet shopping and the nearby Avlia Barn (great for younger kids) as well as a day trip to Hearst Castle. I’d recommend this home very highly and hope to return again, maybe next time during butterfly season. Thanks!

“The entire process with Beach Bum was everything I hoped for. Booking the property through HomeAway was very simple and Beach Bum’s follow up was thorough. I received an email from Beach Bum that had all the details I needed. For the questions that remained, I was able to have them quickly answered via email. With the unpredictable traffic coming out of the Los Angeles area, I was unable to check-in during office hours, but Beach Bum was able to accommodate with no issues. The property was as described. The unit was clean and very welcoming upon arrival and throughout our stay. The second (main) floor living area/kitchen had hard flooring; would highly recommend bringing slippers or house shoes for future guests! There was Wi-Fi and basic cable in the unit. The kitchen was adequately stocked for our needs. Towels and linen, too. Grill worked fine. The only issue that we experienced was with the hot water. At 10:30am, a member of our party took a shower that had no warm water. Crunched for time due to our 12 o’clock noon ride in the dunes, we left the unit in hopes that the water would be warm upon our return. At 4:30pm, there was still no hot water. I called the number Beach Bum’s had provided if any issues or concerns and within 20 minutes a gentleman arrived to fix the problem. With the water heater being upstairs, it was necessary for him to come inside the unit. Not an issue for us, but might be bothersome to others. After about 10 minutes or so, the gentleman said the water should be hot in 20-30 minutes and to give him a call back if not. A half hour later and the water was hot. Problem solved.”

“Lovely condo slightly off the main section of PB but still within blocks of all the activities, restaurants and of course the beach. Also off the 101. Be prepared for stairs, getting to main level and up to the 2 additional bedrooms, but well worth the extra steps. Good size rooms, nice bathrooms and showers. Kitchen well stocked with dishes, glasses and pots and pans. Good coffee maker. It was a good set up with a nice size living room to chill and have conversations. Enjoyed the stay.”

“We were in town for a wedding and wanted to take advantage of being on the coast. The condo has an amazing ocean view. The main floor and stairs are covered with windows. I loved all the natural light and the two-way blinds were convenient for having privacy and sunlight at the same time. There was plenty of room for six adults and one child to be on the main floor without feeling crowded. The kitchen was surprisingly well-stocked with all the dishware, cookware, and small appliances needed on a daily basis plus bonus items handy during a party. I was particularly happy about being supplied a new sponge, dish soap, dishwasher detergent, paper towels and numerous dish towels. I have been to other rentals that gave very little of such items or none at all. How would you expect renters to keep your place well-kept if you don’t supply the tools? The garage space was most valuable and we appreciated the few sand toys and folding chairs for the beach. Coffee and fresh cinnamon rolls from the shop down around the corner was extra tasty when enjoyed on the roof-top patio. I would recommend putting grips on the steps outside. They were very wet from the morning fog. My only complaint would be the master mattress. The indentations on both sides are quite deep. You should consider immediate replacement. One couple mentioned a choice of pillow firmness would be nice. Perhaps two sets on each bed or an extra set in the closet. My number one praise would be to the staff at the local Beach Bum Holiday office. I was called on day 2 to make sure everything was great. I called once because the alarm had started beeping at us because of a low battery. They sent someone over right away. And I called the day after check out because I left my wedding band on the night stand. They found the ring an hour later and mailed it to me. Thank you to the office and cleaning staff. You guys rock!”

“We had a fabulous time staying at the condo on 269 Wadsworth. The Condo is in a great location with easy access to the beach and walking distance to the pier. The condo was clean and kept up with all of the needed items to cook with or if you choose to use the grill. The deck had an awesome view of the ocean and was perfect for watching the sunset and enjoying a glass of wine. There are plenty of good places to eat and shop within walking distance. We loved our stay in Pismo Beach. There was something to do for everyone, golf, fishing, hiking, shopping, eating and enjoying the beach. We hope to return to Pismo Beach and would definitely stay at this condo again.”
-Anonymous, Stayed at 269 Wadsworth

“We really enjoyed our stay here. This condo has fantastic ocean views and is only 200 feet to the stairs down to the beach. The roof top deck has a spectacular 360° view of the whole coast. We were also within a 5 minute walk of the pier and restaurants in Pismo Beach.”

“My three sisters, my mother, and I all met at Pismo for one sister’s birthday. We had a wonderful time. The apartment was close to the beach, clean, and cozy. We all loved it! Did I mention that the price was right? Yup. Two years ago, we met for another birthday and stayed in a motel. No comparison! I took business cards for friends. Thank you for a memorable time!!!! We ate at Penny’s for breakfast (both times). Worth the wait!”

“We enjoyed our stay. The property is in a great location within walking distance to the beach and great food choices. I liked the fact that we had two covered parking spaces. The condo beds, towels and linens were in great shape. I would recommend this property to anyone looking to stay in Pismo.”
-Jennifer A., Stayed at 188 Stimson #5

“This was a great location for beach access and town-walking. It made for a wonderful end to a long road trip, and was a quiet and comfortable place to relax and enjoy our time in Pismo. We felt very at home, and have gratitude for the owners and for Beach Bum Holiday Rentals for making it available – we would happily return. The few things we wished were available were: extra pillow cases (the decorative pillow shams had none under them), a DVD player, and a couple of things to make the kitchen more usable (coffee filters, salt, pepper, sugar, matches/lighter).”
-Stanford G., Stayed at 188 Stimson #5

“No complaints about this property. We had a lovely stay at the house. It was clean and had everything we needed. The management company was great and everything went smooth.”
-Beth J., Stayed at 188 Stimson #5

“We stayed a few days and were happy with all aspects. Place is well-maintained and is about a block from the beach. Lots of things to do and see nearby, and many places to find food.”
-Karol L., Stayed at 188 Stimson #5

“This is a great little condo! Very clean, neat, upgraded and tastefully decorated. The beds and linens are super nice, comfortable and luxurious. Ocean view from the upstairs bedrooms and you can hear the ocean since you are only about 2 blocks away! Great location, lovely back patio with nice table and chairs to enjoy your morning coffee. Very convenient location right in down-town Pismo Beach. You can walk to lots of yummy food choices, or there is a full kitchen if you feel like cooking! The complex is nice and quiet too. We would stay again for sure!!”
